A Solution to your Wifi dead spots
Fast Wifi is now the norm
Most of us now have a good incoming internet signal to our houses and our modern routers will send out a good strong Wifi signal. If you live in a smallish house or a flat then the Wifi from your router will work well in the whole of your property.
Solving slow Wifi in larger houses
However in a larger house or in a property with thick stone walls then there are very often parts of your house where the Wifi won’t work well. We have a range of solutions to give you perfect seamless Wifi throughout the whole of your house, whatever the size of the property.
Wifi mesh systems versus Wireless Access points
We often find that our customers will already have a ‘mesh’ system of Wifi transmitters that pick up the Wifi from the router and then re-transmit it further across the house. These can sometimes be successful if it is just a case of helping the Wifi reach one extra room in the house. But meshing and re-transmitting the signals will always make the signals weaker and slower.
Homeplugs versus Wireless Access points
Also, customers use Wifi ‘homeplugs’ to try to extend their Wifi and to fill in Wifi dead spots. These devices send the Wifi signal down the earth wire of the mains electric cables in the house. Again these devices can sometimes be enough to solve a problem and fill in a Wifi weak spot. But if there is a loss of internet speed when using homeplugs.
The advantage of hard wired Wireless Access points
Our solution is much better than either a mesh system or homeplugs. This superior solution is to run a dedicated Cat6 data cable directly from your router to the problem area & then at this position to supply & install a Wireless Access Point. The Wireless Access Point will transmit and receive signals at very nearly the same level as the router itself.
A neat and discrete Wireless Access Point installation
We can use our skills gained from many years of installing TV aerial cables to hide a thin discrete data cable around your house from your router to the weak Wifi problem area. Rather than fixing a cable internally along your skirting board and over your door frames, we are skilled at hiding cables outside your house, sometimes running them behind drain pipes or close clipping cables in the corners of brickwork, then we can run cables through your loft to the required position in your house. This way the data cabling is virtually invisible.
A seamless Wifi solution throughout your house
We can usually cover all of the weak Wi-fi spots by fitting a couple of Wireless Access Points in your property. All of the Wireless Access Points that we would install for you would be programmed with the same name and password so that you only need to connect to one Wifi in your house and that Wifi would exist seamlessly throughout.
